My yoga story began when I first went to a group class in high school and couldn’t quite get through a class without giggling. I thought yoga might not be for me. Then a few years later, in college, I took a hot vinyasa flow class which blew me away- wow, what a workout! I think I needed the heat to keep me focused on the practice instead of being judgey and laughing (also a few years of maturity never hurt). I took a few of these classes and really enjoyed them, but never made it a priority.
Now I live in Wethersfield, actively exercise and was looking for a different way to tone my body. What I found at river rock yoga was that not only did my body crave the strength training and breath work, but my mind craved the positive energy, calming quiet moments, and the inspiration to be kinder to myself and others. I am addicted to these classes and really respect and appreciate the members, I look forward to many more in the future!
