BIG NEWS: Changes we want you to know!

River Rock Yoga was born while I was sitting by a river watching the flow of water. As the water flowed steadily around the rocks, I reflected on how the water shapes the rocks and how the rocks shape the flow of the river and how everything intertwines with each other. We all have an impact on each other, rippling out infinitely into the world.

I opened the studio in hopes of sharing the gifts that yoga has given me… movement, self-discovery, awareness, acceptance… the list goes on. I realized all of my hopes and more. What I didn’t anticipate was how much my heart would receive from all of you. I always find it exciting to see who is coming up the steps at the studio before class. Believe it or not, I have gotten to know some of your footsteps. You have all left your footprints on my heart.

One of my favorite teachers once said to me, “Life is to be experienced. You can’t find it in a book. Go out and live it!” And I feel it’s that time for me… to let go, open to new experiences, and see where the river of life will take me. On March 31, 2018, I will be closing the River Rock Yoga Studio. Although the studio is closing, the journey continues.

In yoga we learn that it is okay to modify a pose to accommodate our needs, and what we may need is ever changing and evolving. I have always enjoyed a challenge and the excitement of a new adventure. After 8 years of operating and managing the studio, I'm excited to take my expertise and passions and focus them in a different direction.

I look forward to continuing to offer massages and private yoga at a TBD location and I hope to soon be teaching various classes and workshops at different venues around the area. As our beloved RRyoga teachers and I will be looking for new venues to share yoga, if you know of any places to hold a class, feel free to touch base with me and we’ll see if we can set something up! Keep an eye on the River Rock Yoga Facebook page over the next few months, as the RRyoga teachers will be keeping you up to date on where they are and what they’re doing.

I’ve outlined what you need to know on the Closing Info section of the website, but please contact me if you have any questions.

I am forever grateful for the experiences we all shared at RRyoga. After all these years, I still palpably feel so humbled and honored as I sit upon my mat at the end of each class. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey, and thank you all for being a part of mine. I look forward to staying in touch, as the ripples of our lives continually expand and follow new directions.
